Carmel Views

This mid century modern home went through a major overhaul to add comfort and style to the home, while maintaining the integrity of the original Architecture. The Architectural design was re-developed by Fletcher and Hardoin Architects and all interior design was performed by the home-owner.

We extended the size of the living room and master bedroom by reducing the exterior deck space, bringing the windows closer to the mountain view of the famous Fish Ranch. The courtyard and entryway into the home was re-created to establish a feeling of tranquility when entering the property and home. We used our materials in a symmetrical and uniform fashion to create elegance in simplicity, all layouts were thought out and executed with precision. All windows were replaced and some areas were enhanced with larger windows. The pool was another major restoration point of the project; where we resurfaced the deck, changed the layout of stairs, applied new plaster to the pool basin, and completely replaced all equipment and lighting. The owner maintained many of the room sizes, however used high end materials and completely covered the walls in tile and stone to create more luxury and quality feel of the home.

The project was well thought out, by some of the best designers, to create a tasteful and period appropriate mid-century home. This was a gratifying experience working on a design build process with a client who really cares a lot about the finished product.
